8 Months

Cute little boy in his new seat!

This little turkey is hilarious these days.  I find myself laughing all day long with him.  Lately he has begun to understand that different voices are funny and what they mean.  If I say DADA in a deep voice he will totally laugh, or if Andy or I say his name in a "I'm going to get you" tone, he totally smiles/laughs and gets so excited. He will try to get away too.  It's darling.  I also, can get him to give me a one eyebrow up with a smile, I absolutely love it.

Handsome little guy

He is a great little crawler now, a little jerky still when he's on all fours but he now prefers that to his little grunty army crawl.   He can stand up anywhere, no need to have something to pull himself up on now.  His favorite places to get up are the edge of the tub to push all the shampoo bottles off the ledge, open and close open and close open and close the doors on the entertainment center, any place in the kitchen, his book case~he is quite talented at taking all the books out, and the back of his high chair which has a storage shelf with cool things to find and pull out :)

Helping Dad in the Kitchen
Playing around at G-Grandma's

Probably my most favorite thing he does right now is if you set him right on the edge of the couch with his feet off, he will flip around and land on the ground standing~does that make sense?  He thinks he is SOOO cool doing it.  Last night we tried to show some friends and he was laughing so hard the whole time he couldn't land it.  He kept jumping so fast he wasn't strong enough to hold himself up.

This is the best I can get! He's too quick!

He has been working on some words, Up is his most frequent, Momma when he wants to get out of bed, and if that doesn't work, he'll throw out some Dada's.  He owns us.  Speaking of Dada. We have had some much needed Dad time this last few weeks.  Today was our last day with Andy home.   Last night we all had a sleep over in our bed and Draven did surprisingly well.  But the second he woke, he made a dash for our headboard, that is another thing he loves to stand up on.  He would look out the window and play in and out of the bars of our bed frame all day, until he spots my bracelets on the other end of the bed.  We have our dresser backed up the end of our bed and all my bracelets find their way down in between the two everyday!

Playing the guitar
There's a snake on my head!

Playing at the park

He has been great at sleeping and going down for naps.  The whole standing thing, threw us for a loop for a couple weeks but he is fully capable of getting up and down now and doesn't stand the second you lay him in the crib.  Which was super frustrating!   Draven has loved all the new foods he gets to try, he feeds himself finger foods great, and is obsessed with my boobs.  I hope the only guy that reads this is Andy :)  But really, he is.  If I am wearing anything that he can see them he tries to pull my shirt down and will totally motor boat!

 Yum chew toy!
He was totally asleep up on the side of the bed!

Anywhoo, My friends came, oh how wonderful that was!!  That is for another day!  But Draven was a champ hanging with the girls and had some fun Daddy time too!  Time is flying by!  My baby is almost not a baby!
I guess he wasn't liking the photoshoot Dad was having with him
